 BHIWADI AT A GLANCE

Bhiwadi is known as “SINGH DWAR” of Rajasthan having many big industries working here. Bhiwadi a leading & dominant Industrial area, is strategically located between Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur now enjoys the status of a Regional Centre or Priority Town of the National Capital Region (NCR), and has been able to create a niche for itself among the fast growing cities of India. There is a lot of Industrial development in and around the area. Due to its presence in the vicinity of NCR a lot of scope exists for further development. Till 1976 Bhiwadi, a small sleepy village was unnoticed in the map of Rajasthan and today it is recognized as one of the most important area of National Capital Region. Within a very short span of time, this sleepy village has grown into the most happening Industrial area of Rajasthan. Since then this Industrial area has not seen backwards and RIICO has developed a clusters of Industrial areas in and around Bhiwadi Region. These Industrial areas are known as Bhiwadi Phase I to IV, Ghatal, Rampur Mundana, Sarekhurd, Khushkhera, Chopanki, Pathredi, Tapukara and Kehrani. All the Industrial areas in Bhiwadi Region fall under Tijara Tehsil and District Alwar. The development of Bhiwadi Industrial area was first started on an area of 130 acres and since then the total size of Industrial area in Bhiwadi Region has crossed over 7200 acres of land in this belt shortly. The total size of the Industrial area in Greater Bhiwadi would touch 8500 acres. There are around 3,000 big, medium and small scale industries operating in this town. They include industries such as steel, furnace, electronics, engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals, printing, cables, rolling mills, food processing, herbal care, etc. Bhiwadi Industrial area is located on Rewari-Dharuhera-Sohana Road and is 6 Kms from NH-8 situated at North-Eastern Border of Rajasthan in Alwar District. It is about 70 Kms from Delhi, 200 Kms from Jaipur, and 90 Kms from Alwar. The nearest International & Domestic Airport in New Delhi is about 55 Kms away. The nearest Railway Station is Rewari which is 25 Kms far away. There are adequate transport facilities for Delhi, Jaipur, Alwar and other nearby towns. Bhiwadi Industrial city is a fully developed industrial area supplemented by all basic modern amenities and good industrial infrastructure. Bhiwadi’s competitive advantage lies in its power availability, land cost and availability of large contiguous land parcels which is generally a prerequisite for any industry. Also, continuous new acquisition of land is underway for development of industry clusters by RIICO. Bhiwadi has a comparative advantage on labour cost. Proximity to NCR helps in access to industrial labour and managerial talent. Bhiwadi is leveraging on its locational advantage. Industrialists from Delhi and also from Punjab and other parts of India have set up base here. UIT, RHB and Private Colonisers are very active in the industrial town. The location is settled with basic amenities such as piped water supply, schools, transportation, hospitals, telecom networks, banks etc. Bhiwadi Industrial Area has 55 Kms. 4 Lane roads running throughout the industrial area. RIICO has a well integrated water supply system supplying 40 lacs litre of water per day. The power situation is one of the best in Rajasthan and even in neighboring adjoining areas supported by 300 MVA capacity grid substation and 400 KV GSS of Power Grid. The power consumption in Bhiwadi is to the tune of 45-50 lacs units per day. There is an In-land container depot providing service for export and import units. There is a Common Effluent Treatment plant also treating 9 MLD water and moreover UIT has installed 4 MLD STP. The area has generated direct employment of approx 1,00,000 and indirect employment of approx 1,60,000.  The area is well equipped with telecommunication facilities having presence of all major telecommunication service providers. There are 29 banks including public sector banks & multinational banks providing banking services. There are adequate housing options available in RHB/UIT Colonies, Ashiana, Krish, Avalon, Nemai, Terracity, M2K, Cosmos, Essentia, Piyush, Omaxe, Kajaria, Konark Oasis are the few names present on Bhiwadi-Alwar Road . Besides these existing residential colonies many malls & multiplexes are also under construction by various colonizers and builders. There is one Government Referral Hospital, ESI Hospitals with 50 beds capacity, ESI Dispensary and many private nursing homes catering to various medical needs of the local population. There are two private degree colleges, one Government Polytechnic, Two ITI’s, one Government Sr. Secondary School for boys & one Govt. Secondary School for Girls. In addition there are many Public Schools and Kids schools for improving education in the areas from nursery to 10+2. To facilitate the industries as regards the fulfillment of Government obligations all major government offices like Munsif Court, Office of Additional SP, Dy. SP, Police Station, DTO Office, RFC, RIICO Ltd., ESIC, Central Excise Department, Sub Registrar, Post Office, NSIC, LIC are situated in the nearby vicinity. Bhiwadi after its fast track industrial growth is now on the track of the new growth as an urban industrial town and is playing a major role in the economic development of Rajasthan and has carved a niche for itself on the National/International front. Government of India has proposed a Dedicated Frieght Corridor (DFC) between Delhi and Mumbai passing through Bhiwadi. DFC will be high axle new railway connectivity with multi model linkages. Delhi Bullet train & Metro is also bieng proposed from Delhi to Alwar passing through Bhiwadi. A road of about 60 km long is bieng planned from Shahjahanpur‐Neemrana‐Behror‐Bhiwadi road link via Azarka.  Bhiwadi is equidistant from Delhi and Jaipur and will also be a part of the proposed Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), making it a strategic location for Industries.
